What advice can you give to someone trying to write a book?

Posted on Posted in The Questions, Uncategorised, Writing

In the words of the almighty Yoda, “Do, do not try. That is why you do not succeed.”

These words should always be in the back of your mind when writing. Don’t try to write a book, just sit down and write it. Nothing screams that you are setting yourself up for failure than saying you are “trying” to do something. The simple truth is, if you are sitting down and putting a book together they you are DOING it. So, just keep doing it.

Remember, the first and easiest part of writing a book is doing the first part, actually writing the 1st draft of your book. After that the real work begins. Relish in the knowledge that you are actually writing a book and finish it.
